happy new year and see ya '07

the highlight of my 2007 was of course baby o! he is sooooo sweet and cuddly. my posts have all but disappeared due to this bundle of love and his demands (along with his older brother's) but i hope to get back into the swing of things in '08.

we hosted christmas this year and here is h., cousin e. and cousin l. gosh, aren't they so taken by an extremely interactive toy. nope, sorry- they are hunched over, watching a dvd. as my dad says "we have every color of the rainbow"- he's talking hair, in his grandkids. my parents have 6 grandkids all under the age of 3! brown, black, blonde and red haired and all so unique.

i can't resist this shot. cousin k. with h's safety goggles from his brand new chainsaw (thanks dad) no matter what a mother tries to do (i.e., no gun toys, gender neutral, etc.) here comes dad to shower him with all the really boy boy toys!
the other great thing about 2007 was this blog and my store on etsy. no, i have not sold $1,000 in penguins and cards. but it taught me a good lesson about expectations and persistance and the luck of naming a penguin with the exact name of its intended owner!!!! ha! through this blog i have had the pleasure of meeting new 'cyber' friends and learning about their daily lives and inspirations. most of all it has kept me on task with my projects. it has also cemented in my mind just what inspires me and motivates me as a person. i miss perusing blogs and discovering things that really reverberates with me.  i know i'll get back to the ol' routine but obviously being a mom comes first. thanks for reading and hopefully my little blog has inspired some of you out there too. thanks and see you in the new year!!!
