ah what happen to this adventurous lass? her sense of spunk (note the hat) is she still here? i'm currently looking for work and am torn between excitement to get out into the work force again and be among adults and acute depression to leave my two little boys in another's care for up to 40+ hours a week (most of me is leaning in the latter direction) . ideally, i would love part-time and no commute. ideally, i would get the job below.
dear boss man/lady,
i was so excited to see your posting for the job "one night a week-sommelier at our boutique wine shop, two days a week- fabric and paper designer" that i couldn't wait to respond and apply for this position immediately as it fits me perfectly!
i will have no problem "visiting boutique wineries or more importantly, "le garagistes"' in France to secure new and exciting wines" for your shop. As my attached resume states, i hold a degree in French and also spent my junior year in college in the quaint town of Pau, France. Alors, I speak French and am currently working towards my own personal sommelier certification by reading books on wine, listening to the "Three wine guys" podcasts and of course, holding my own personal tastings in the privacy of my home. I have honed my tastebuds to keenly pick up every nuance a wine has to offer ( e.g., smoky tobacco, petite bing cherries in spring, spicy cinnamon, under-ripe lychees, tart green apple, ah yes- granny smith!, robust pencil shavings, etc.)
i also will have no trouble "switching between paper and fabric to produce innovative and fun cards, invitations, crafts, etc." As you can see from my personal blog "little BIG pants" i work in both mediums of fabric and paper and have a keen eye for good, solid design.
i would love to set up a time with you to discuss this opportunity further. i am confident i have all the qualities you are seeking and more! thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Terra
UGH!
