tin cash registers

 
every now and again i get obsessed with certain objects. the latest, tin cash registers. some purchased on ebay, some from local antique stores. for the most part, i've gotten great deals, like my latest (the little black one at right), it was "won" for a $1 on ebay.
 
this little gem is my favorite and cost the most at $16.99 on ebay (judging from the ornate paint job, i would say it's the oldest as well). i tweaked one out with my business name and the cash drawer holds my business cards. it almost got more interest than my dolls and bunnies at my last craft fair!
