if you don't mind wiling away a few hours discovering all sorts of vintage fare than go straight to new york public library digital gallery viabricolage. above menu card is from the "american menu collection 1859-1930" soccer player from my favorite collection "cigarette cards: ABCs" dutch children from "elliss island photographs..." look at their little shoes!
meet audrey's brother! see the resemblence. he is still in his rough stages and i'm grappling with two names but i think he's pretty darn cute! i really want to give him a bow tie but as seen above...it's not turning out exactly how i envisioned. i have a collar but the tie can't go around the collar as its sewn in two pieces. also, tying a bow tie is NOT easy and little girls and boys will be asking their moms for help and those moms will be googling "how to tie a bow tie" just like the creator had to. so is it a neck tie? or is it just a collar? or is it a clip on???? more things to tweak, his shorts (too tight looking), his shoes, his hair line in back, his freckles. look for the finished boy soon!
