these are proof that with a little creativity any object can be turned into an interesting "objet d'art"
toilet paper rolls! who would have thunk it? i must admit there is something that i see as unsanitary about used toilet paper rolls but i can hear my readers now "get over it". these are by artist anastassia elias via cafe cartolina
on quite a different note, i wanted to throw a note in here about my lack of blog entries and thus my blog sucking lately. if you noticed, well, i've noticed too. its what's happening to us all ...busy summer, kids want to go out side, park, etc., now pre-school for h., o. wants to live outside and freaks when i sit at the computer, evening comes and dinner, baths and hubby is hogging the computer = no significant computer time. hopefully, i can carve out more time in the future for this little space in the world that gives me such joy....
artist beth lo sculpts child-like human figures out of clay. i'm especially drawn to these wall hangings with the quotation bubbles above their heads. she is a visiting artist at one of the local colleges and i plan on going to her "talk". it has been years since i've been to one of these. time to dust off the brain cells and become involved again! i love this one in its simplicity.
