omg i love this guy, charming baker. first of all, love his name!!! second, he's adorable, and the most important thing... he is DAMNED TALENTED!!!! and he shoots his paintings! yee haw! did i mention, he shoots his paintings... love, love love!!!!
my first man doll. i cut up an old shirt of my boys that they had outgrown....it was pretty easy to fit as i just sewed it to the body pieces and then stitched the doll together...but the pants...oy vey...a different story... a cut up a holey pair and reused the bottom of the pant legs for his actual cuffs and then repurposed the waste band and zipper stitching. i took a cargo pocket and cut it in half and then cut it in half again to make the back pockets. I had to take stitching from the side to stitch around one of the sides of the pockets that needed an finished edge...then i tried them on and ...........they are a bit wonky for sure...but there is something i love about doll clothing that looks a bit off...knowing full well the maker tried like hell to make it work! here he is wearing them...good lord, from the back he is a dead ringer for my uncle... i love his droopy, sad eyes...he's a keeper!
my latest favorite doll. she has turquoise hair with flower bunches. she has a flowy white dress and she exudes SPRING!!! playing with the wonderful hipstamatic app... this so reminds me of a wedding photo... back of doll and her updo...
i love the cutesy, whimsical needle felts out there but artist, stephanie metz brings needle felting to a whole new level. energetic, vulnerable, strikingly real.
