(embroidery by liz hamilton) here is what i love about surfing the web...i stumbled upon this artist while looking for images of vintage record players, trying to blog about the power of words in lyrics and then viola, here is an artist that is all about words....
remember lying on your bed in high school with a brand new cd....you take out the booklet, hit play and read along while the song plays... suddenly you are in the lyrics, you are picturing a scene that hasn't happened and never will and it is so intense you can taste it...i've been doing that again. except this time i'm not on my bed, i'm usually in my car and the paper booklets are now replaced by google searches and digital booklets on smart phones.  words are powerful things...powerful. i've been wrapped up with fleetwood mac and stevie nicks lately...silver springs, her ongoing feelings for lindsey...there is a youtube video where stevie turns around and puts her hand on lindsey's shoulder and he starts to get weepy...ahhhh unlived lives...regret...sad stuff
