i love these 50's pulp fiction books. i have a small collection, all of which i bought at half price books between $2-4. date with a dead man is my favorite! "her hangout was any street corner" who writes this stuff? and really, would a woman who works the streets look this sophisticated???
every now and again i get obsessed with certain objects. the latest, tin cash registers. some purchased on ebay, some from local antique stores. for the most part, i've gotten great deals, like my latest (the little black one at right), it was "won" for a $1 on ebay. this little gem is my favorite and cost the most at $16.99 on ebay (judging from the ornate paint job, i would say it's the oldest as well). i tweaked one out with my business name and the cash drawer holds my business cards. it almost got more interest than my dolls and bunnies at my last craft fair!
some finds from the local antique shop. i actually got to look this time as the mother-in-law is visiting and watching h. i bought the above card because it is just so beautiful the red ink, the perfectly cancelled stamp. it would be a great specimen to blow up like the first issue of blueprint featured. where is the darn next issue? i've been waiting and waiting...
love the cowboys! and this below fabric from moda, isn't it sweet!
