mixed media artist, jennifer khoshbin recently caught my eye via (ohhhhh i can't remember?). this texas gal lists su blackwell as one of her inspirations and one can see the influence but she definately makes them her own! gives me the urge to get back into book making!

the above pic is from the latest FLOR catalog and i fell in love with this parisian 50's woman with her red capelet, dark elizabeth taylor hairdo and blue ribbon at her waist. who painted this, i asked? well as i googled "fried pal" (what i could discern on the painting), i would find out that his name is actually pal fried. he was a hungarian painter who lived and painted in paris, mostly ballerinas & nudes. get the below original painting on EBAY for $2000!

this is very hush hush. a refurbished airstream selling designer wares. two gals are behind this dandy little creation. it's so hush hush that i had to go to another site to find out exactly where they are located. Nelson, B.C. Canada. first, i love the name. second, i love the fact that it is mobile. thirdly, i love, love, that it is in an old airstream parked in "alley" made to look so inviting with their landscaping. brilliant!

artist su blackwell via ma petite theiere is quite something. she creates small scenes from the actual book. be sure to click on "installations" and watch her discuss her piece "1000 origami birds for carly 2003". brought a tear to my eyes. also not to miss is the commercial for beringer wine. soooooooo great!!!!! i showed it to my hubby and he summed it up perfectly, "there is so much talent in this world." amen brother, amen.

the above little red house via elsie marley is from the neatest little blog called tiny buildings. the maker, sharon, constructs all sorts of little houses from paper scraps. i love these crazy ideas and then documenting them!
