i love bow ties, i think more men and boys should wear them. and thanks to the two uber talented artists from something's hiding in here, i have a sneaky suspicion that we will be seeing more of these gems around the necks of dapper fellas.
check out the stitched label! (swoon!)
and the packaging! no detail is lost on these two. kudos, job...WELL....done!
what could have richer themes and images then the classic story "wizard of oz". the uber talented, jessica hische taught a 5 week class at the university of arts in philadelphia- the assignment...create book cover, end papers, titlepage and bookplate for the wizard of oz. I love the vintage feel of the above illustration and toto pulling back the velvet curtain to reveal the farm and tornado.
the students name is to the right of the cover. and what is that lovely script, you ask? why it is none other than "NELLY florish script" by another talented lady, crystal kluge of tart workshop!
a beautiful idea is a wonderful idea started by artist and blogger Evie Shaffer. create an item, sell it and donate all the profits to charity. here is the statistic that really got me. "Imagine if 1% of etsy.com's 200,000 sellers donated the profits of one $20 item a month. That's $40,000"
i've just listed these postcards in my shop. all proceeds will be donated to the charity of choice through "a beautiful idea". current charity is world vision. i love this beautiful idea!
anyone who puts jesus and big boy in the same boat is worth a 2nd glance. artist, mark ryden juxtaposes doe eyed sugary sweet imagery with historic references, a creepy fascination with meat, and blood lust. doesn't everything look better on "stage" "a dog named jesus" don't forget the meat! his stuff is so BRILLIANT! via d. sharp journal...
