last night my friend amy, me and the boys visited the pizza farm in stockholm, wisconsin.
every tuesday in the spring to late fall this family stokes up the wood fire grill and makes pizza made from their own home grown vegetables and animals. it is a magical place.
the entrance...
the menu, we tried the "happy pigs" pizza and spinach and feta. the crust is a wonderful; a whole wheat chewy delight. the cheese is gooey freshness.
it wouldn't be a true farm without animals....sheep with their new spring lambs. the one ewe kept stomping her feet (i guess i was too close to the fence)...
this picture doesn't do the size of this bull justice. he was HUGE!
happy pigs...
when we approached the goats, this one came running and then preceded to climb the fence!
baby o. is running toward the bull, h. is hanging back, as usual...
it is a wonderful place. families are picnicking all over the grounds, a young group of friends were on a picnic blanket with glasses of red wine...the weather was windy and rainy and a bunch of people were still there. the above building is the "chicken coop" where one can dine with a roof. farm living at its finest...
Girrrrrrrrrrrrrrl! You are amazing. Jorja and I are still laughing at your stories from last night. Nice BLOG. Nice PERSON. We adore you. -carla

I'm from Wisconsin but when I go back I go to the other side. This place looks so nice. If I were to take my family to the river border are there cool towns / places to stay in. Perhaps its time I saw more of the Midwest.
