my first man doll. i cut up an old shirt of my boys that they had outgrown....it was pretty easy to fit as i just sewed it to the body pieces and then stitched the doll together...but the pants...oy vey...a different story...
 
a cut up a holey pair and reused the bottom of the pant legs for his actual cuffs and then repurposed the waste band and zipper stitching. i took a cargo pocket and cut it in half and then cut it in half again to make the back pockets. I had to take stitching from the side to stitch around one of the sides of the pockets that needed an finished edge...then i tried them on and ...........they are a bit wonky for sure...but there is something i love about doll clothing that looks a bit off...knowing full well the maker tried like hell to make it work!
 
here he is wearing them...good lord, from the back he is a dead ringer for my uncle...
 
i love his droopy, sad eyes...he's a keeper!

i added some lid definition to her eyes and eyelashes....and a bit of a new eyebrow technique...
 
she has a pair of french bloomers on underneath her skirt....
 
here she is sitting next to the 2nd doll i made. her hair is spit curlish (is that even a word???) from this doll to charlotte i moved the eyes closer together and changed the eyes....

meet my latest rag doll. i really am in love with this one! she is made like my other dolls but features mohair sculpted hair...ahhhh so chic!

she needs some tweaking...like; longer arms, shoes more angular (sewn with 3 pieces instead of two), eyes closer together (maybe....)

ignore the sorry attempt at graphic design with hearts made in word. ahhh, it brings me back to the days of corporate america and designing everything in powerpoint, UGH! .

these are for h.'s first valentine's day party. i simply pulsed oreos to make the "dirt" and then added gummy worms. oh, yes, than i spent the next 15 minutes trying to explain what " i dig you" means......

works in progress out-of-control

 
i think racoons are severly misunderstood...how can something soooo cute be a nuisance, come on?!?
here are two works in progress, the racoon is missing a belly and the clown-like baby needs to have a chunkier head and not-so-skinny neck.

have i also mentioned i want to start casting items in ceramics, and i ordered a bunch of jewelry supplies this morning for making necklaces...FOCUS!!!! does anyone else have this problem???? UGH
